I don’t want to bore you with all of the detail in how this was made. It wasn’t made overnight. I will say that the collar part is made out of hollow tube. This lessons the weight of the piece and also diffuses the over all weight. It’s very comfortable to wear because of this.
I wore it through a 5 hour opera and barely noticed it.
It’s 15 1/2 inches long and 6 inches wide.
